Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Friday with the Sensex down 0.95 per cent at 79,858 and the Nifty-50 down 0.95 per cent at 24,363. About 1,523 shares have advanced, 2,506 shares have declined and 144 shares were unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 1.56 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 1.03 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Bank of Maharashtra, General Insurance Corporation of India, Cummins India Ltd and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were  KRBL Ltd, Mukand Ltd, Sanghvi Movers Ltd and Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.

On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in the red with the BSE Teck Index, BSE Metals Index, BSE Consumer Durables Index, BSE Capital Goods Index, BSE Commodities Index and BSE Realty Index, gaining over 1.5 per cent each.

As of August 08, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 441 lakh crore or USD 5.03 trillion. On the same day, 119 stocks hit a 52-week high while 110 stocks touched a 52-week low.
