Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Friday with the Sensex down 0.85 per cent at 81,307 and the Nifty-50 down 0.85 per cent at 24,870. About 1,761 shares have advanced, 2,319 shares have declined and 160 shares were unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.23 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.35 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, IPCA Laboratories Ltd and Bharti Hexacom Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Foseco India Ltd, Apollo Micro Systems Ltd, Netweb Technologies India Ltd and KRN Heat Exchanger and Refrigeration Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were traded mixed with the BSE Telecommunication Index and BSE Healthcare Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Metals Index and BSE Commodities Index were the Top Losers.

As of August 22, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 454 lakh crore or USD 5.19 trillion. On the same day, 151 stocks hit a 52-week high while 53 stocks touched a 52-week low.
