Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Tuesday with the Sensex down 1.04 per cent at 80,787 and the Nifty-50 down 1.02 per cent at 24,712. About 1,216 shares have advanced, 2,895 shares have declined and 130 shares were unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 1.34 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 1.68 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were IPCA Laboratories Ltd, Ola Electric Mobility Ltd, Vishal Mega Mart Ltd and Premier Energies Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were RattanIndia Enterprises Ltd, Summit Securities Ltd, Kabra Extrusion Technik Ltd and Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd.

On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in the red with the BSE Energy Index, BSE Healthcare Index, BSE IT Index, BSE Telecommunication Index, BSE Metal Index, BSE Power Index, BSE Realty Index and BSE Utilities Index, plunged over 1.5 per cent each.

As of August 26, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 449 lakh crore or USD 5.12 trillion. On the same day, 101 stocks hit a 52-week high while 103 stocks touched a 52-week low.
