In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were India Tourism Development Corporation Ltd, Precision Camshafts Ltd, JTEKT India Ltd and Salasar Techno Engineering Ltd.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in green on Tuesday with the Sensex up 0.39 per cent at 81,101 and the Nifty-50 up 0.39 per cent at 24,869. About 1,997 shares have advanced, 2,125 shares have declined and 159 shares were unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.20 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.22 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Gujarat Fluorochemicals Ltd, JSW Infrastructure Ltd, Tata Communications Ltd and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were India Tourism Development Corporation Ltd, Precision Camshafts Ltd, JTEKT India Ltd and Salasar Techno Engineering Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were traded mixed with the BSE Focused IT Index and BSE IT Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Realty Index and BSE Consumer Discretionary Index were the Top Losers.

As of September 09, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 454 lakh crore or USD 5.15 trillion. On the same day, 144 stocks hit a 52-week high while 58 stocks touched a 52-week low.
