Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen in These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in green on Friday with the Sensex up 0.67 per cent at 85,762 and the Nifty-50 up 0.70 per cent at 26,329. About 2,772 shares have advanced, 1,449 shares have declined and 150 shares have been unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 86,056 on November 27, 2025 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,340 on January 02, 2026.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.97 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.79 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were SJVN Ltd, Torren Power Ltd, IREDA and Ola Electric Mobility Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Shalimar Paints Ltd, Silver Touch Technologies Ltd, InfoBeans Technologies Ltd and LINC Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were traded mixed with the BSE Power Index and BSE Utilities Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Telecommunication Index and BSE FMCG Index were the Top Losers.

As of January 02, 2026, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 481 lakh crore or USD 5.34 trillion. On the same day, 185 stocks hit a 52-week high while 83 stocks touched a 52-week low.
