Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on October 17

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices ended the trading session on Tuesday in positive territory, with the Sensex up 0.39 per cent at 66,428 and the Nifty down 0.4 per cent at 19,812. About 2,184 shares have advanced, 1,506 have declined and 135 were unchanged on BSE.

The broader markets were in positive territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.39 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap index up 0.70 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Oil India Ltd and Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Va Tech Wabag Ltd and Newgen Software Technologies Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Utilities Index being one of the Top Gainers while the BSE Capital Goods Index being one of the Top Losers.

The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,23,80,756 crore or approx. Rs 324 lakh crore as of October 17, 2023. On the same day, 330 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 21 stocks touched a 52-week low.
