Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on October 31

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Thursday with the Sensex down 0.70 per cent at 79,400 and the Nifty-50 down 0.60 per cent at 24,190. About 2,396 shares have advanced, 1,368 shares have declined and 139 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.04 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 1.53 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Vedant Fashions Ltd, 3M India Ltd and Relaxo Footwears Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are RattanIndia Enterprises Ltd, WPIL Ltd and The Anup Engineering Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices trading mixed with the BSE Industrials Index and BSE Capital Goods Index were the only Top Gainers while the BSE Services Index and BSE Teck Index were the Top Losers.

As of October 31, 2024, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.44 lakh crore or USD 5.28 trillion. On the same day, 144 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 20 stocks touched a 52-week low.
