AVI Polymers Approves Proposed Strategic Acquisition

AVI Polymers Ltd informed BSE that its Board of Directors, at a meeting held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, approved a proposal for issuing equity shares through a share swap mechanism on a preferential issue basis. The proposed issuance is intended to execute the acquisition of a 90 per cent stake in JVTR Consultants Private Limited at an indicative valuation of Rs 500 crore.

The company clarified that the proposed fund raise and subsequent share swap remain subject to finalisation of definitive terms and conditions, completion of comprehensive due diligence and execution of definitive agreements. The transaction will also require necessary approvals, including approval from shareholders and applicable regulatory authorities.

Company Plans Shift Towards Technology Sector

Along with the proposed acquisition, the Board also approved the expansion of the company’s core business objects through alteration of its Memorandum of Association. This move is aimed at aligning the company with its proposed structural pivot into the technology sector.

The new business areas proposed to be added include information technology services, software development, system integration, digital platforms, allied technology services and related activities. The alteration of the MOA will also be subject to shareholder approval.

AVI Polymers Share Price Performance

On Thursday, May 7, AVI Polymers share price was locked in the Upper Circuit. The stock has delivered multibagger returns of 160.75 per cent so far in 2026. Over the last six months, the stock price has jumped by 279.50 per cent.
