Clarification Issued on Proposed Mundra PPA Agreement

Tata Power issued a clarification regarding recent media reports about signing a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Gujarat government for its Mundra power plant. It stated that the Gujarat cabinet has already approved the supplementary PPA and a government order has been issued in this regard. However, Tata Power clarified that the agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) is yet to be signed and will be executed only after receiving the necessary regulatory clearances.

Tata Power has delivered a return of 3.81 per cent over the past month, while its 6-month return stands at -0.46 per cent. Over a one-year period, the stock has gained 2.71 per cent. In comparison, the benchmark Nifty 50 has declined by 4.42 per cent over the same one-year period.
