Bharti Airtel Q1 FY27 Financial Performance
Bharti Airtel reported consolidated revenue of Rs 58,539 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 49,463 crore in Q1 FY26, registering an 18.4 per cent YoY and 5.7 per cent QoQ growth.

Download Service BrochureEBITDA stood at Rs 33,599 crore, up 19.3 per cent YoY and 4.9 per cent QoQ, while the EBITDA margin improved to 57.4 per cent from 56.9 per cent in the corresponding quarter last year.
EBIT increased to Rs 19,282 crore, resulting in a 23.4 per cent YoY and 6.2 per cent QoQ growth. Profit before Tax (PBT) rose to Rs 14,126 crore, compared with Rs 10,504 crore in Q1 FY26, registering a 34.5 per cent YoY and 7.0 per cent QoQ growth.
Net income before exceptional items increased to Rs 8,057 crore from Rs 5,948 crore in the year-ago quarter, registering a 35.5 per cent YoY and 11.2 per cent QoQ growth.
Operational Highlights
The company added 14.9 million customers during the quarter, taking its total customer base to 680.9 million across 15 countries.
In India, revenue increased 9.7 per cent YoY to Rs 41,214 crore, driven by sustained premiumisation in the mobile business, strong growth in the Homes segment and healthy momentum in Airtel Business.
The company's mobile Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) improved to Rs 264 from Rs 250 in Q1 FY26. Smartphone data customers increased by 21.1 million YoY, while Airtel recorded its highest-ever quarterly postpaid customer additions of 1 million during the quarter.
The Homes business delivered 33.2 per cent YoY revenue growth, while Airtel Business reported 12.0 per cent YoY revenue growth, supported by strong execution and growth in digital services. The company also completed a share swap transaction to increase its stake in Airtel Africa PLC to over 79 per cent during the quarter.

Commenting on the performance, Gopal Vittal, Executive Vice Chairman, said the company delivered another quarter of strong performance backed by the resilience of its diversified portfolio and disciplined execution across businesses. He highlighted strong revenue growth across India and Africa, record postpaid customer additions, improving ARPU, continued momentum in the Homes business and a strong balance sheet supported by disciplined capital allocation and focused investments.
