Imagicaaworld Entertainment has signed an investment agreement to invest Rs 50 crore in Mehsana Next Parks Private Limited (MNPPL), the special purpose vehicle (SPV) that owns Shanku's Water Park in Mehsana, Gujarat.

The investment will give Imagicaaworld a 50 per cent equity stake in the SPV. The company stated that the SPV will raise additional capital over the next 12 to 18 months to develop new attractions and expand facilities at the water park.

Operations and Management Agreement

As part of the transaction, Imagicaaworld will also provide Operations and Management (O&M) services to the SPV, leveraging its expertise in park operations, guest experience, safety systems, food and beverage operations, and revenue optimisation.

Under the O&M agreement, the company will earn management fees ranging between 6 per cent and 10 per cent, based on agreed performance parameters.

Strategic Expansion in Gujarat

The acquisition marks a strategic expansion into Gujarat, one of India's fastest-growing leisure and tourism markets.

Shanku's Water Park, spread across more than 25 acres, features over 25 rides and attractions and is regarded as one of Gujarat's largest water parks. The park has recently undergone extensive renovation and modernisation, including the installation of advanced water filtration systems similar to those used at Imagicaa's flagship Khopoli property.

Management Commentary

Managing Director Jai Malpani said the investment represents an important milestone in the company's strategy to deepen its presence in Gujarat. He added that the partnership will help enhance guest experiences, drive footfalls and create long-term value through the next phase of growth of the well-established destination.
