AI Powered Summary

Royal Enfield has continued its strong growth trajectory, reporting its highest-ever annual sales for the financial year ending March 31, 2026. The company surpassed the significant milestone of 1.2 million units, closing the year at 12,38,659 motorcycles sold, reflecting a robust 23 per cent increase compared to the previous financial year. This achievement also marks the second consecutive year in which the brand has crossed the 1 million annual sales mark, reinforcing its leadership in the mid-size motorcycle segment globally.

The momentum was clearly visible in the monthly performance as well. In March 2026, the company recorded total sales of 1,12,334 units, representing an 11 per cent growth over March 2025, when sales stood at 1,01,021 units.

The growth was largely driven by models with engine capacity up to 350cc, which saw a 12 per cent increase in March sales, reaching 97,933 units compared to 87,312 units in the same month last year. For the full financial year, this segment recorded an impressive 25 per cent growth, totalling 10,87,051 units.

Meanwhile, motorcycles with engine capacity exceeding 350cc also contributed positively, though at a comparatively moderate pace. Sales in this category grew by 5 per cent in March 2026, reaching 14,401 units versus 13,709 units in March 2025. On a year-to-date basis, this segment posted a 7 per cent increase, with total sales of 1,51,608 units compared to 1,41,233 units in the previous financial year. This indicates a steady demand for higher-capacity motorcycles, complementing the brand’s stronghold in the mid-size category.

Domestic sales played a pivotal role in the company’s overall performance. For FY 2025-26, domestic volumes reached 11,07,343 units, marking a 23 per cent growth year-on-year. This reflects the brand’s deepening penetration in the Indian market, supported by its expanding product lineup and strong customer engagement initiatives. At the same time, international business also demonstrated significant growth. Exports rose by 23 per cent to 1,31,316 units, showcasing the brand’s increasing global footprint across more than 80 countries.

However, on a monthly basis, international business showed a slight dip in March 2026. Export volumes stood at 11,928 units compared to 12,971 units in March 2025, reflecting an 8 per cent decline.

Speaking about the performance for the year, B. Govindarajan, Managing Director - Eicher Motors Ltd. and Chief Executive Officer - Royal Enfield, said –

“Every year at Royal Enfield, we try to raise the bar a little higher than before, and this time was no different. We delivered our second consecutive year of over one million motorcycle sales, crossing 1.2 million units, our highest-ever annual performance. Achieving this milestone as we celebrate 125 years of Pure Motorcycling makes it even more meaningful. But in this landmark moment, we are not pausing to look back; instead, we are focused on how we can continue to build motorcycles for the current and next generation of riders while remaining grounded in our ethos. This year, we also achieved our best-ever festive season sales and highest-ever volumes across both domestic and international markets. Our international business continues to be a focus area, and we are deepening our presence in high-potential markets such as Brazil. Equally important is the strength of our riding community, which continues to grow with our rider engagements and festivals expanding significantly across regions. We are also investing in staying ahead of the curve by expanding our manufacturing facility at Cheyyar, which will support future growth while maintaining our focus on quality and efficiency. As we move into the new financial year and continue our 125th year journey, we remain focused on the future with new product launches, new platforms and the launch of the Flying Flea C6. Our endeavour is simple: to keep growing in a way that stays true to who we are as we build a global motorcycling brand from India.”
