On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals declined by 0.11 per cent, power zoomed by 0.26 per cent, and auto slipped by 0.11 per cent.
Meanwhile, Gallantt Ispat Limited, KRN Heat Exchanger and Refrigeration Limited and Welspun Corp Limited emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Gallantt Ispat Limited, an S&P BSE company, surged 5.23 per cent to trade at Rs 573.95 apiece. The company recently disclosed that promoter Smriti Agrawal acquired 23,01,300 shares through an off-market gift transaction, while the company has also proposed a final Dividend of Rs 2 per share for FY26.
KRN Heat Exchanger and Refrigeration Limited, an S&P BSE company, surged 3.51 per cent to trade at Rs 1,449.95 apiece. The company’s wholly owned subsidiary recently acquired an industrial plot in Rajasthan for Rs 8.52 crore to support its business expansion.
Welspun Corp Limited, an S&P BSE company, surged 3.24 per cent to trade at Rs 2,782.00 apiece. The company’s Saudi associate, East Pipes Integrated Company, recently secured a steel pipe order worth approximately Rs 2,000 crore from Saudi Aramco, while its U.S. arm also secured a record order.
