Watch out for these low-priced stocks hitting a fresh 52-week high on Wednesday

At 11.45 am on Wednesday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were seen trading at 60,293,42 and 17,890.60 levels, respectively. Sensex was down by 461.44 points or 0.76 per cent, while Nifty was down by 132.45 points or 0.73 per cent from the last trading session.   

The top five gainers of Nifty 50 were ONGC, Coal India, United Phosphorous Limited (UPL), Bajaj Auto, and Tata Steel. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index included Asian Paints, Adani Ports, UltraTech Cement, Tata Consumer Products, and Infosys.

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 30,472.12, down by 0.23 per cent. The top five gainers are OnMobile Global (up by 15 per cent), TV18 Broadcast, India Nippon Electricals, Ganesha Ecosphere, and Tata Elxsi. Each of these stocks gained more than 9 per cent. Similarly, the top five stocks pulling the index down include Ahluwalia Contracts India, JSW Ispat Special Product, L&T Technology, Jaiprakash Power, and Gulshan Polyols.

On the sectoral front, almost all the sectoral indices were trading in the red, with BSE IT, BSE TECk, BSE Realty dragging more than 1 per cent and only BSE Metal and BSE Oil & Gas being the only ones trading on the upside.
