Wipro's subsidiary Capco received the AI Governance & Risk Excellence Award at the OpenAI Partner Summit 2026 and also won the OpenAI Codex Hackathon.

On Thursday, Indian benchmark indices ended marginally higher, with the Nifty 50 gaining 34.35 points, or 0.14 per cent, to close at 24,056. Amid the positive market sentiment, shares of Wipro Limited rose 0.30 per cent to close at Rs 175.00 after its subsidiary Capco received two recognitions from OpenAI for innovation and responsible artificial intelligence (AI) leadership.
Capco Recognised by OpenAI
Wipro informed the stock exchanges that Capco, its global management and technology consulting subsidiary, has been recognised by OpenAI for both AI innovation and responsible AI leadership.
Capco received the AI Governance & Risk Excellence Award at the OpenAI Partner Summit 2026 held in San Francisco. The award recognises the company's ability to deliver enterprise AI solutions in highly regulated industries while balancing innovation, governance, compliance and risk management.
Wins OpenAI Codex Hackathon
In addition to the governance award, Capco's UK AI Lab won the OpenAI Codex Hackathon, where it competed against more than 30 teams and 100 participants from across the OpenAI partner ecosystem.
The winning solution, Sentra, is an AI-powered retail Banking platform that uses digital twin technology to identify vulnerable customers and recommend explainable next-best actions for frontline teams.
