Finolex Cables reported consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 2,013.15 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 1,395.52 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year, registering a 44.26 per cent YoY increase. Total income stood at Rs 2,064.64 crore compared with Rs 1,449.64 crore a year ago, marking a 42.43 per cent YoY growth.

Download Service BrochureConsolidated profit before Tax, before accounting for the share of net profit of the associate and joint venture, stood at Rs 273.66 crore in Q1 FY27 against Rs 176.37 crore in Q1 FY26, an increase of 55.16 per cent YoY. After including the share of net profit of an associate and joint venture of Rs 40.80 crore, profit before tax increased to Rs 314.46 crore from Rs 202.55 crore, up 55.26 per cent YoY.
Consolidated profit for the quarter stood at Rs 249.04 crore compared with Rs 162.62 crore in Q1 FY26, registering a 53.23 per cent YoY increase. Earnings per share increased to Rs 16.28 in Q1 FY27 from Rs 10.63 in the year-ago quarter.
Segment Performance
The electrical cables segment remained the largest contributor to revenue, with segment revenue increasing to Rs 1,767.45 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 1,205.71 crore in Q1 FY26, representing a 46.59 per cent YoY increase. Segment result from electrical cables stood at Rs 181.97 crore compared with Rs 117.38 crore a year earlier, an increase of 55.02 per cent.
Revenue from communication cables increased to Rs 176.47 crore from Rs 108.84 crore, registering a 62.14 per cent YoY growth. The segment result increased sharply to Rs 52.52 crore from Rs 1.30 crore in Q1 FY26.
Revenue from copper rods stood at Rs 8.01 crore compared with Rs 403.42 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The copper rods segment reported a loss of Rs 3.41 crore compared with a profit of Rs 0.65 crore in Q1 FY26.

Board Approves Key Reappointments
The company also disclosed several board-level appointments and reappointments. Mrs. Vanessa Singh has been re-appointed as a Non-Executive Independent Director for a second term of five years, effective from September 30, 2026, to September 29, 2031, subject to shareholders' approval.
Mr. Zubin Billimoria and Mr. Sriraman Raghuraman have also been re-appointed as Non-Executive Independent Directors for second terms of five years from September 30, 2026, to September 29, 2031, subject to members' approval. Mr. Ratnakar Prakash Barve has been re-appointed as Whole-Time Director for a second term of five years for the same period, subject to shareholders' approval. The filing states that the directors are not related to any of the company's other directors and are not debarred from holding the office of director by virtue of any SEBI order or other authority.
The company reported 12 per cent sales growth in FY24, followed by 6 per cent growth in FY25. Sales growth accelerated to 19 per cent in FY26, resulting in a stronger growth trajectory in the latest financial year.
