Skipper Q1 FY27 Financial Performance

Skipper Ltd reported revenue from operations of Rs 1,309.83 crore in Q1 FY27 compared with Rs 1,253.86 crore in Q1 FY26, registering a growth of 4.5 per cent YoY. Total revenue stood at Rs 1,314.25 crore compared with Rs 1,257.14 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Profit before tax increased to Rs 75.65 crore from Rs 59.78 crore in Q1 FY26, registering a 26.5 per cent YoY growth. Profit after tax stood at Rs 56.47 crore compared with Rs 44.66 crore in the year-ago quarter, marking a 26.5 per cent YoY increase. Basic and diluted EPS increased to Rs 5.00 from Rs 3.96.

The company operates across Engineering Products, Polymer Products and Infrastructure Projects. In Q1 FY27, Engineering Products contributed revenue of Rs 940.13 crore, Polymer Products contributed Rs 117.00 crore, while Infrastructure Projects contributed Rs 252.70 crore. Revenue from Infrastructure Projects increased sharply from Rs 101.89 crore in Q1 FY26, representing a growth of around 148 per cent YoY.

Skipper Long-Term PAT Growth

The company's financial performance over the past decade shows increase in annual profit after tax, although the growth has not been uniform every year. PAT increased from Rs 89 crore in FY15 to Rs 207 crore in FY26, representing an overall increase of around 133 per cent during the period.

PAT stood at Rs 95 crore in FY16, Rs 124 crore in FY17 and Rs 118 crore in FY18 before declining to Rs 31 crore in FY19. It subsequently stood at Rs 41 crore in FY20, Rs 21 crore in FY21, Rs 29 crore in FY22 and Rs 33 crore in FY23. The company then reported a sharp recovery, with PAT increasing to Rs 75 crore in FY24, Rs 146 crore in FY25 and Rs 207 crore in FY26.

Skipper Shareholding Pattern

The shareholding pattern shows a notable increase in FII ownership. FII holding increased to 10.64 per cent in July 2026 from 4.11 per cent in June 2026. DII holding also increased to 2.24 per cent from 1.92 per cent during the same period.

Promoter holding, meanwhile, declined to 61.48 per cent in July 2026 from 66.50 per cent in June 2026. Public shareholding stood at 25.65 per cent in July 2026.

Investor Ajay Upadhyaya held a 1.39 per cent stake in the company as of July 2026, compared with 1.51 per cent in June 2026.

Preferential Issue of Rs 433.50 Crore

The company has also completed a preferential issue through private placement. The Board approved the issue and allotment of 92,23,402 equity shares at an issue price of Rs 470 per share, including a securities premium of Rs 469 per share, aggregating to Rs 433.50 crore.

The proposed preferential issue was approved by shareholders at the Extra-Ordinary General Meeting held on June 26, 2026. Following the approvals, the company allotted 92,23,402 equity shares on July 31, 2026 and is in the process of obtaining listing and trading approval from NSE and BSE.

Skipper International Expansion

During the quarter, Skipper had two wholly owned foreign subsidiaries, SKIPPER LATAM LTDA in Brazil and Skipper Transmission and Distribution LLC-S.P.C in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The Brazil subsidiary was incorporated on March 13, 2026, while the Abu Dhabi subsidiary was incorporated on May 12, 2026.

Both subsidiaries had not commenced business operations as of June 30, 2026, and had not undertaken financial transactions during the quarter. Accordingly, they had no impact on the consolidated financial results for Q1 FY27.
