The Indian markets witnessed intense selling pressure as in the second half of the trading session today, markets tanked with widespread sell-off.

Among the sectoral indices, barring Nifty FMCG, which ended with gains of 0.91 per cent, all other indices ended the day in red with Nifty Metal and Nifty PSU Bank being the top two losers.
Despite a sharp fall in the markets, there were a number of penny stocks that were seen buzzing. These stocks have also met the criteria of price close greater than the previous day’s high while their volume was also greater than the previous trading session.
