Bajaj Finserv Q1 FY27 Results

Bajaj Finserv reported a 19.1 per cent YoY increase in consolidated total income to Rs 42,036.90 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared with Rs 35,300.02 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Profit before Tax (PBT) increased 24.0 per cent YoY to Rs 8,932.19 crore, compared with Rs 7,203.64 crore in Q1 FY26.

Profit after tax (PAT) rose 18.2 per cent YoY to Rs 6,296.67 crore, compared with Rs 5,329.17 crore in the year-ago quarter. Profit attributable to the owners of the company increased 12.3 per cent YoY to Rs 3,132.35 crore from Rs 2,789.05 crore, while basic earnings per share (EPS) improved to Rs 19.60 from Rs 17.47 in Q1 FY26.

Operational Highlights

During the quarter, Bajaj Finance reported a 28 per cent YoY increase in consolidated profit after tax to Rs 6,081 crore, while its housing finance subsidiary Bajaj Housing Finance posted a 23 per cent growth in profit after tax.

Bajaj General Insurance recorded an 11 per cent increase in gross written premium to Rs 5,789 crore, while Bajaj Life Insurance reported an 87 per cent jump in the Value of New Business (VNB) to Rs 271 crore, reflecting strong growth in its life insurance business.

Bajaj Finserv Board Approvals

The Board approved the incorporation of a subsidiary to pursue the reinsurance business, subject to approvals from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) and other regulatory authorities.

Additionally, the Board approved the issuance of 15,11,358 equity shares of face value Re 1 each to the Bajaj Finserv ESOP Trust under the company's employee stock option scheme.
