US corners larger share of open-ended assets globally, in relation to its GDP
The world’s biggest economy, USA holds a disproportionate size of open-ended funds globally, when compared to its economy. At the end of the year 2017, US economy shares 15.26 per cent of the global GDP, while its share in equity AUM is 62.4%. In the case of Bond funds, its share is 53.8% followed by Europe that has 40.8%.
