Acalabrutinib also received approval in combination with bendamustine and rituximab for adult patients with previously untreated mantle cell lymphoma who are not eligible for autologous stem cell transplant. Separately, trastuzumab deruxtecan in combination with pertuzumab was approved as a first-line treatment for adults with unresectable or metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer classified as IHC3+ or ISH+. Beyond its medicines portfolio, AstraZeneca Pharma India signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Telangana to introduce AI-enabled lung cancer screening at public healthcare facilities. The collaboration involves deploying Qure.ai’s AI-powered chest X-ray solution to help clinicians identify high-risk pulmonary nodules and other lung conditions, supporting earlier triage and follow-up. The initiative is planned for 20 urban and rural public health facilities and includes training and upskilling healthcare professionals. The company also launched K+ Connect, a pan-India multidisciplinary initiative focused on improving hyperkalaemia management for patients with heart failure and chronic kidney disease. In addition, it introduced India Coronary Conquest 2026 with STEMI India. The clinician-led national complex PCI challenge is designed to support evidence-based learning and peer exchange among interventional cardiologists.
