Himadri Speciality Chemical informed exchanges that the company further invested AUD 25,59,000 in cash towards subscription of 25,59,000 compulsorily convertible notes (CCNs) of face value AUD 1 each in Sicona Battery Technologies Pty Ltd.
The company stated that it had earlier invested AUD 1,41,94,000 towards subscription of 1,41,94,000 CCNs in Sicona. Following the latest investment, Himadri now cumulatively holds 1,67,53,000 CCNs in the Australian battery materials technology company.
According to the filing, investment in the balance 16,94,000 CCNs will be made in agreed tranches.
Investment Structure
The company clarified that since the investment is being made through compulsorily convertible notes, Himadri has not acquired any additional voting rights or control in Sicona at present. The CCNs will be convertible into shares of Sicona as per agreed terms.
The company also stated that details regarding the investment had earlier been disclosed through its previous exchange filing dated May 13, 2025 and there were no further changes except the latest tranche investment update.
