Empower India Expands Into Digital Solar Solutions

Empower India informed investors that it is strategically expanding into next-generation Digital Solar solutions as India accelerates its transition towards renewable energy. The company highlighted that India's solar ecosystem has already crossed 150 GW of installed solar capacity, while the government's PM Surya Ghar initiative aims to support 1 crore solar-powered households.

According to the company, the initiative is intended to democratise access to renewable energy while supporting India's growing energy needs, strengthening long-term energy security and accelerating the country's transition towards sustainable energy sources.

Targeting A Multi-Billion Dollar Opportunity

The company stated that India's renewable energy sector represents a significant long-term opportunity, with investments of more than US$200 billion expected in the coming years.

Management believes that many consumers and businesses are currently unable to participate in the solar revolution due to barriers such as lack of rooftop ownership, limited installation space, high upfront costs and operational complexities. To address these challenges, Empower India is evaluating innovative solar-access models that could allow a broader section of society to benefit from renewable energy without traditional ownership hurdles.
