Rs 3,442 Crore Order Book: EPC Company Secures Mega EHV Substation Contract For Mumbai Data Center

The stock remained in focus after the company announced a mega Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for a high-voltage substation project linked to a data center in Mumbai.

Bajel Projects Secures Mega EPC Order

Bajel Projects informed the exchanges that it has secured a mega EPC contract for the development of an Extra High Voltage (EHV) substation for a domestic data center client.

According to the company's internal classification, the project falls under the category of "Mega Orders," which includes contracts valued between Rs 300 crore and Rs 400 crore, inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST). The order has been awarded by a domestic entity and is classified as a domestic contract.

Scope Includes 400/220/33 kV GIS Substation

The scope of work includes the design, engineering, procurement, supply, erection, testing, commissioning and performance testing of a 400/220/33 kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) substation.

The project will be executed on a comprehensive EPC basis, covering the entire project lifecycle from design and engineering through commissioning and performance validation.

The company stated that the contract carries an execution timeline of 24 months from the commencement date.

The substation is intended to support the power requirements of a data center facility in Mumbai. Data centers require reliable and high-capacity power infrastructure, driving demand for advanced transmission and substation projects.

The order strengthens Bajel Projects' presence in the EHV substation segment and expands its portfolio in infrastructure projects linked to India's growing digital economy and data center ecosystem.

Bajel Projects Clarifies Transaction Details

Bajel Projects clarified that none of its promoters, promoter group entities, or group companies have any interest in the awarding entity.

The company further stated that the contract does not qualify as a related party transaction and is not categorized as a related party arrangement under applicable regulations.
