Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Friday with the Sensex down 0.34 per cent at 79,810 and the Nifty-50 down 0.30 per cent at 24,427. About 1,889 shares have advanced, 2,188 shares have declined and 160 shares were unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.41 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.29 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Relaxo Footwears Ltd, CG Power & Industrial Solutions Ltd, Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd and Brainbees Solutions Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Jindal Poly Films Ltd, Apollo Micro Systems Ltd, Jindal Worldwide Ltd and Om Infra Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were traded mixed with the BSE FMCG Index and BSE Consumer Durables Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Realty Index and BSE Energy Index were the Top Losers.

As of August 29, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 444 lakh crore or USD 5.05 trillion. On the same day, 99 stocks hit a 52-week high while 121 stocks touched a 52-week low.
