Swan Defence and Heavy Industries informed the exchanges that it has secured a contract from Svitzer A/S, a Denmark-headquartered global towage operator, to construct four advanced TRAnsverse 3200 tug vessels. The deliveries are scheduled to commence in early 2028. The company stated that the contract was awarded after an extensive competitive evaluation involving leading global shipyards, highlighting its growing capabilities in building high-specification vessels for international customers.

Download Service BrochureThe TRAnsverse 3200 design has been jointly developed by Robert Allan Ltd. and Svitzer for complex harbour towage and escort operations. The vessels feature a patented hydrodynamic hull design and omni-directional propulsion system, enabling them to safely guide large ships through challenging weather conditions and narrow port channels. The company said the tugboats deliver an 80-tonne bollard pull and are up to 15 per cent more fuel efficient than conventional tug designs, supporting global maritime decarbonisation efforts. The vessels will also be biofuel-ready, compliant with IMO Tier III emission standards and equipped with FiFi1 firefighting capability, enhancing both sustainability and operational safety. The ships will be built at the company's Pipavav shipyard in Gujarat.

Commenting on the development, Rear Admiral Vipin Kumar Saxena (Retd.), Chief Executive Officer, said the order marks a significant milestone for the company as it will construct one of the world's most sophisticated towage vessels. He added that winning the fourth consecutive export contract reflects the confidence of global customers in the company's engineering capabilities and reinforces India's position as a globally competitive shipbuilding destination.
Kasper Friis Nilaus, Chief Executive Officer of Svitzer, said the partnership aligns with the company's long-term fleet renewal programme and supports the Government of India's Maritime India Vision 2030, Make in India, and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.
FII Holding Increases; Zerodha Broking Holds 1.04 Per cent
According to the company's latest shareholding pattern for the June 2026 quarter, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) increased their stake to 0.67 per cent from 0.60 per cent in the March 2026 quarter. Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) held 1.93 per cent, compared with 2.05 per cent in the previous quarter, while the promoter holding remained unchanged at 89.90 per cent.
Among the public shareholders, Zerodha Broking continued to hold a 1.04 per cent stake in the company. Zerodha is one of India's largest discount stock broker, founded in Bengaluru on August 15, 2010, by brothers Nithin Kamath and Nikhil Kamath. The company pioneered low, flat-fee pricing and zero brokerage on equity delivery investments and currently serves more than 1.6 crore clients.
