As we are aware, a mutual fund offers various types of schemes viz. equity-oriented, debt-oriented, hybrid, solution-oriented and other funds which are further divided into various sub-categories.

As per AMFI, the equity-oriented scheme net AUM has surged significantly from Rs 9,06,766.98 crore as of December 2020 to Rs 13,33,618.89 crore as of December 2021 i.e., 47.07 per cent increase in net AUM. The net inflow of equity schemes has also increased from an outflow of Rs 10,147.12 crore as of December 2020 to an inflow of Rs 25,082.54 crore as of December 2021.
