India’s largest four-wheeler manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has sustained its dominance in the automobile market as seven of its models have been featured in the Top 10 best-selling passenger vehicles list in 2016-17, according to the data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).

In 2015-16, Maruti Suzuki had 6 of its models in the Top 10 best-selling passenger vehicles list by SIAM.
Maruti Suzuki’s popular small car Alto has managed to regain the top seller badge for the 13th consecutive year.
The Indian passenger vehicles (PV) market saw total sales of 30,46,727 units in FY17 as against 27,89,208 units in the previous year, a growth of 9.23 per cent.

The list included Wagon-R, Dzire, Swift, Hyundai Grand i-10, Elite-i20, Baleno, Renault Kwid, Vitara Brezza and Celerio, positioned at number 2 to 10, respectively.
