HCLTech has expanded its collaboration with NetApp to offer hybrid cloud storage-as-a-service (STaaS) aimed at helping enterprises scale AI and data-driven workloads. The solution combines HCLTech's Utility for Everything (U4X) digital infrastructure framework with NetApp Keystone, a pay-as-you-go storage service.
The offering is designed to provide enterprises with a flexible, consumption-based infrastructure model that can support AI and GenAI applications alongside traditional enterprise systems. According to the company, organisations can scale storage, performance and data services based on changing workload requirements while supporting AI development, deployment and operations through HCLTech's AI Factory suite.

Commenting on the expanded collaboration, Alvaro Celis, Chief Partner and Ecosystem Officer at NetApp, said the partnership focuses on co-creating technology offerings, business models, solutions and services aimed at delivering customer value. Rampal Singh, Senior Vice President, Hybrid Cloud Business Unit at HCLTech, said the collaboration is focused on helping enterprises scale AI in a pragmatic and efficient manner by combining flexible infrastructure models with data management capabilities.

The company serves sectors including financial services, manufacturing, life sciences and healthcare, semiconductor, telecom and media, retail and consumer packaged goods, mobility and public services. The latest partnership comes as enterprises continue to invest in infrastructure required for AI and GenAI applications. The hybrid cloud storage-as-a-service model provides a consumption-based approach, potentially allowing businesses to align infrastructure spending with changing workload requirements rather than relying entirely on upfront investments.
HCL Technologies shares were trading at Rs 1,367.10, up 0.12 per cent on Thursday. While the Nifty IT index was trading higher at 31,392.05, the broader Nifty 50 remained under pressure.
