Titan Q1 FY27 Financial Performance

Titan Company reported consolidated total income of Rs 20,753 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 14,778 crore in Q1 FY26, registering a 40 per cent YoY growth. Profit before Tax increased 64 per cent YoY to Rs 2,429 crore, while profit after tax rose 63 per cent to Rs 1,777 crore from Rs 1,091 crore in the corresponding quarter.

The company's earnings before interest and tax increased 59 per cent YoY to Rs 2,782 crore, with the EBIT margin improving to 13.4 per cent from 11.8 per cent in Q1 FY26. The company noted that reported profits include a Rs 407 crore gain related to the change in customs duty on gold.

Jewellery Business Drives Growth

The Jewellery business recorded 43 per cent YoY growth, with the portfolio reaching Rs 18,253 crore, excluding bullion and Digi-gold sales. India business income increased 38 per cent to Rs 16,943 crore, while the international jewellery business grew 136 per cent to Rs 1,309 crore.

During the quarter, Titan added 33 net stores in India, comprising four Tanishq stores, 17 Mia stores, one beYon store and 11 CaratLane stores. Tanishq also opened two new stores in the GCC region.

Watches and EyeCare Businesses

The Watches business reported total income of Rs 1,543 crore, registering 21 per cent YoY growth, while EBIT stood at Rs 295 crore with a 19.1 per cent margin. The company added 34 net stores across Titan World, Fastrack, Helios and Helios Luxe during the quarter.

The EyeCare business also grew 21 per cent YoY to Rs 289 crore, with EBIT at Rs 24 crore and an 8.3 per cent margin. The division opened six new Titan Eye+ stores and one Runway store during the quarter.

Management Commentary

Commenting on the performance, Ajoy Chawla, Managing Director of Titan Company, said Q1 FY27 was a strong opening quarter, with the company's consumer businesses registering 40 per cent YoY growth. He highlighted the performance across Jewellery, Watches, EyeCare and emerging businesses, while noting that the quarter involved navigating gold prices, changes in the duty structure and geopolitical headwinds across international operations.
