GMR Airports Ltd announced the commencement of commercial operations at Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport in Visakhapatnam on August 17.

The airport has been developed and is operated by GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited (GVIAL). The start of commercial operations marks a key milestone for Andhra Pradesh's aviation infrastructure and is expected to strengthen connectivity for North Andhra Pradesh.

The airport began operations with domestic and international flights connecting Visakhapatnam with key destinations across India, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

2. Om Infra Ltd

Om Infra Ltd has received a Letter of Award from the Office of the Superintending Engineer, Circle Office, Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Rural), Lucknow, for the execution of a supplementary agreement.

The total sanctioned supplementary value stands at Rs 29.01 crore. The amount includes repair costs, contingency, GST, centage and three years of operations and maintenance costs.

The order adds to the company's project pipeline and could remain a key trigger for the stock when trading resumes on Tuesday.

3. Nelco Ltd

Nelco Ltd announced a strategic partnership and investment in Lunar Holdco., Inc., which operates as Elveo Mobile.

Nelco, a Tata Group company and satellite communication service provider, said the partnership will focus on next-generation Direct-to-Device (D2D) satellite mobile connectivity and related compute solutions.

Under the agreement, Nelco will bring connectivity and compute solutions powered by Elveo's satellites to various sectors, including automotive, maritime, energy and government.

The partnership will target opportunities in India and South Asian markets, potentially expanding Nelco's presence in the emerging satellite connectivity space.
