On Thursday, Indian equity benchmark indices traded marginally higher, with the benchmark Nifty 50 index rising 8.85 points, or 0.04 per cent, to 24,633.50. Amid the positive market sentiment, Trent share price jumped over 2 per cent to Rs 3,193.40 as the Tata Group retail company reported strong financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.
The company reported consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 5,754.71 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 4,883.48 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering a 17.8 per cent YoY growth. Total income increased to Rs 5,784.54 crore from Rs 4,924.07 crore during the same period.
Consolidated profit before Tax stood at Rs 691.84 crore, compared with Rs 564.69 crore in Q1 FY26, reflecting a 22.5 per cent YoY growth. Profit attributable to equity shareholders of the company increased to Rs 519.01 crore from Rs 429.69 crore, registering a 20.8 per cent year-on-year growth. Earnings per share (EPS) rose to Rs 9.73, compared with Rs 8.06 in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Download Service BrochureDuring the quarter, total expenses increased to Rs 5,082.96 crore from Rs 4,368.59 crore a year ago, led by higher purchase of stock-in-trade, employee benefit expenses, depreciation, occupancy costs and other operating expenses.
The Board of Directors also approved the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. In addition, the company announced that Mr. Ratul Neogi, Head of Internal Audit, will retire upon superannuation effective September 1, 2026, and Ms. Varsha Agarwal has been appointed to head the Internal Audit function. The Board further recommended the appointment of B S R & Co. LLP as statutory auditors for a five-year term from the conclusion of the 75th AGM in 2027, subject to shareholders' approval.
During the quarter, Trent also issued one Bonus equity share for every two equity shares held, and the earnings per share for all reporting periods have been adjusted accordingly. The statutory auditors conducted a limited review of the quarterly financial statements and issued an unmodified opinion.
