On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals jumped by 0.57 per cent, power zoomed by 0.44 per cent, and auto surged by 0.04 per cent.
Meanwhile, Trent Ltd, Ramkrishna Forgings Ltd and Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Trent Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 8.74 per cent to trade at Rs 2,800.00 apiece. The company reported a 23 per cent year-on-year rise in standalone revenue to Rs 5,788 crore for Q2 FY27, while Zudio crossed the 1,000-store milestone.
Ramkrishna Forgings Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 7.72 per cent to trade at Rs 753.90 apiece. The company recently suspended operations at its Hiriyur mini blast furnace for around 15 days from October 1 for maintenance-related work.
Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 6.35 per cent to trade at Rs 1,228.40 apiece. The company recently commenced hot metal tapping at its new Kalinganagar ferrochrome project, with production volumes expected to be ramped up gradually.
