Bharat Financial Inclusion rides high as Morgan Stanley hikes stake

Bharat Financial Inclusion (BFI) rode high on the bourses as Morgan Stanley increased the stake in the company. BFI, formerly known as SKS Microfinance, opened one per cent higher and as at 2.57 p.m. on December 29 was trading at Rs 596.90, up by four per cent on an intra-day basis.

The BFI stock has seen a good rally in the last two trading sessions. According to information released by the company to the media on December 28, Morgan Stanley Asia (Singapore) and Morgan Stanley Mauritius have increased stake in the company by 1.09 per cent to 7.86 per cent on December 23, 2016.
Morgan Stanley Asia (Singapore) and Morgan Stanley Mauritius have purchased 15.16 lakh shares, or 1.09 per cent stake, in BFI.
