Profit before exceptional items and tax increased to Rs 162.80 crore from Rs 109.80 crore in Q1 FY26, marking a 48.3 per cent YoY increase. After tax expenses of Rs 42.60 crore, consolidated net profit stood at Rs 120.20 crore, compared with Rs 79.20 crore in Q1 FY26, representing a 51.8 per cent YoY growth. Profit attributable to owners of the company increased to Rs 120 crore from Rs 81.10 crore in Q1 FY26, registering a 48.0 per cent YoY increase.

The company's basic and diluted earnings per share stood at Rs 4.47 in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 3.02 in Q1 FY26, representing a 48.0 per cent YoY increase. On a sequential basis, total income declined 23.8 per cent from Rs 2,088.50 crore in Q4 FY26, while consolidated net profit declined 43.6 per cent from Rs 213 crore in the preceding quarter.

Plumbing Segment Leads Business Performance

Astral's Plumbing segment recorded revenue of Rs 1,050.50 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 953.90 crore in Q1 FY26, representing growth of around 10.1 per cent YoY. The segment result increased to Rs 141.40 crore from Rs 98.90 crore during the corresponding period.

The Paints and Adhesives segment reported revenue of Rs 527.50 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 407.30 crore in Q1 FY26, registering growth of around 29.5 per cent YoY. Segment results stood at Rs 19.70 crore compared with Rs 19.60 crore in the year-ago quarter. The company stated that its main business segments are Plumbing and Paints and Adhesives, with Plumbing including pipes and fittings, water tanks and bathware.

Acquisition of 60 per cent Stake in DSS

Astral Chemie Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Astral Limited, entered into definitive agreements dated June 11, 2026, to acquire a 60 per cent partnership interest in Differentiated & Sustainable Solutions LLP. The subsidiary made an upfront payment of Rs 39.1 crore for the acquisition.

DSS is engaged in developing technologies for specialty chemicals and materials and in manufacturing and marketing specialty and performance products used in composites, coatings, adhesives and energy segments. The company has accounted for the acquisition on a provisional basis under Ind AS 103. The financial results for the current quarter include the financial information of DSS and, according to the filing, are therefore not comparable with previous reported periods.
