HCC has also constructed the Uri-II, Kishanganga, Nimoo Bazgo and Chutak hydroelectric projects in the region, with a combined installed capacity of 1,352 MW, representing approximately 38 per cent of Jammu & Kashmir's total installed hydropower capacity.

Beyond hydroelectric projects, HCC has also executed major transportation infrastructure in the region. The company built India's first cable-stayed railway bridge at Anji Khad and executed nearly 32 km of tunnels for the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link project, accounting for about 27 per cent of the project's total tunnel length.

HCC has an engineering heritage of nearly 100 years and operates across transportation, power and water infrastructure. The company has executed projects representing 26 per cent of India's hydro power generation capacity and 60 per cent of India's nuclear power generation capacity. Its project portfolio also includes more than 4,036 lane km of expressways and highways, over 402 km of complex tunnelling and 403 bridges.

The company's shareholding pattern also saw notable changes in June 2026. FII holding increased to 11.38 per cent from 10.92 per cent in March 2026. Meanwhile, DII holding declined to 3.70 per cent from 4.11 per cent, while promoter holding stood at 16.18 per cent compared with 16.72 per cent in the previous quarter. Public shareholding increased to 68.75 per cent from 68.24 per cent. Investor Mukul Mahavir Agrawal held a 1.91 per cent stake in the company as of June 2026, unchanged from March 2026.

On Tuesday, Indian equity benchmark indices ended lower, with the benchmark Nifty 50 index falling 124.60 points, or 0.51 per cent, to 24,459.20. The Nifty Infrastructure index opened at 9,462.70, touched an intraday high of 9,464.55 and a low of 9,371.70, and was trading at 9,379.55, down 86.30 points, or 0.91 per cent. Against this backdrop, Hindustan Construction Company shares were trading at Rs 20.12, down 0.30 per cent.
